CHRISTY HOLSTEGE
Christy Holstege is a civil rights attorney and community organizer who currently serves as the Outgoing Mayor of Palm Springs.
As the Mayor of Palm Springs, Christy helped lead the city through the COVID crisis, combat homelessness, help businesses create jobs, and build more affordable housing, and enhance economic development.
During the pandemic, Christy led the charge in enacting worker protections, supporting small business relief, and providing healthcare and other critical services to the community.
This includes enacting hero pay for grocery workers, providing 1 million dollars in annual small business relief, and converting the Palm Springs convention center to a COVID-19 testing site, a mass food bank, and later a vaccination site where over 41,000 vaccines were administered.
